I had lunch at kristine's (HS classmate) - we had a mini HS reunion - as in very mini cuz it was only the 4 of us (with karen and jerilee)...caught up in each other's lives here in SG. For some reason, i felt i was a "woo" girl (as per How I Met Your Mother). All of 'em are either married or preparing to have kids and i was the odd man out. Never realized this till I arrived at kristine's place. We talked a lot about kids and where to settle down with the family, topics i am very familiar with, just not in the context of "family". All of a sudden I felt very young and still early in the stages of life. My friends have already moved on to that stage of maturity and responsiblity.
Earlier this year, karen already gave me a lecture on this. On me, not having plans yet of having my own family. She is concerned, just like the rest of my friends. Needless to say, me and my mom have had endless conversations on this but it always ends up with her telling me that it is up to me to decide when, it will come when I have decided. Thanks mom, for being my wisdom.
About Me
- Joni Gail A. Morales
- Warrior of Light Online When he learns to handle his sword, he discovers that his equipment has to be complete – and that includes armor. He goes out to look for armor and hears what some vendors propose to him. "Wear the breast-plate of solitude," says one. "Wear the shield of cynicism," answers another. "The best armor is not to get involved in anything," suggests a third. The warrior, however, does not listen to them. He goes serenely to his sacred place and dons the indestructible cloak of faith. Faith softens all blows. Faith changes poison into crystal-clear water. His angel whispers to him: "Yield everything." The warrior kneels down and offers his victories to God.
