About Me

Warrior of Light Online When he learns to handle his sword, he discovers that his equipment has to be complete – and that includes armor. He goes out to look for armor and hears what some vendors propose to him. "Wear the breast-plate of solitude," says one. "Wear the shield of cynicism," answers another. "The best armor is not to get involved in anything," suggests a third. The warrior, however, does not listen to them. He goes serenely to his sacred place and dons the indestructible cloak of faith. Faith softens all blows. Faith changes poison into crystal-clear water. His angel whispers to him: "Yield everything." The warrior kneels down and offers his victories to God.

The Manganiyar Seduction

I got to see this yesterday at the Esplanade (part of the Singapore Arts Festival).

It's just amazing how very old traditions can still be enjoyable, allowing the younger audience to gain access to the old world.

These guys are a group of Muslim musicians who are telling the world of their love for God.

I think the program says that the main song is ..."of the poet Bulleshah who explains the essence of love for God to himself and the audience. He praises the presence of God who is everywhere in the three worlds, visible in land, alive in things, and the universe. God has given his name to all of this; whatever you see and feel you can experience God in it...

Each religion wants to reach heaven. Bulleshah, on his personal way to reach God, became a dancer who transcended his sexual identification and experienced the presence of God through his dance. He realised that if he would do any fault and falls from God's grace, he will not go to a temple or mosque but seek direct forgiveness by dancing with pure love just for God."
